What are Targeted Rollouts?
Targeted Rollouts is WeatherXM’s program to rapidly grow our decentralized weather station network in places that lack reliable weather data. It works by connecting community investors with local operators: investors fund the hardware, and trusted deployers on the ground install and maintain the stations.
This collaboration brings critical weather coverage to underserved areas – helping local communities better prepare for weather risks and enabling local businesses to make data-driven decisions. By reducing uncertainty in weather information, Targeted Rollouts even opens the door for new services (for example, affordable crop insurance for farmers in the Global South).

Investors earn daily $WXM rewards for 2 years, based on the performance of the deployed stations.
Who maintains the stations to ensure $WXM rewards?
Our community of Deployers around the world are responsible for installing, maintaining, and ensuring stations for 2 years. WeatherXM provides guidelines and monitors network performance, ensuring the quality of data and rewards accordingly. Deployers are therefore incentivised to make sure stations work perfectly in order to get maximum rewards.
Can anyone become a deployer?
To become a deployer there is an application via form above and follow up interview process by the WeatherXM team. Eligibility criteria include weather data driven use case and staking $WXM tokens for 2 months in order to receive free weather stations. Stronger use cases and higher stakes boost your chances of selection. Once approved, deployers play a key role by installing and maintaining stations — helping expand hyperlocal weather coverage where it's needed most.
How are the rewards split between investors and deployers?
Rewards are distributed as follows:
- Investor split between 65-80%, depending on station data driven demand.
- Deployer split between 20-35%, depending on deployment location complexity.
Rollout participants will enjoy a huge reward boost. Investment thesis will be announced soon.
When am I getting paid out?
$WXM Rewards are distributed daily starting immediately after full station deployment.
What is WeatherXM Pro?
WeatherXM Pro is a premium service that provides detailed weather forecasts, historical data, and advanced analytics on 3rd party models accuracy. Investors and Deployers receive free access to the platform.
